Your pets deserve a little love around this time of year, too, so maybe it's time to show them how much you care. They may not know just how much time you spent making these treats, but they'll still get the idea that they're special to you. Not only are homemade treats delicious and satisfying for your pet they're also often healthier than what you'd find at a store. Here are three ideas to get you started.

Peanut Butter Treats

These treats are as simple to make as they are delicious for your dog. All it takes is 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of their favorite peanut butter, and 2 cups of flour. Once you've added all the ingredients together, you just add water until it becomes dough. Slice it into bite-sized portions and hand them out when your pup is doing something right.

Catnip Crumbles

Mixing eggs, ground meat, and catnip together will yield these crumbles that will have your cat going wild. Whether your cat's been especially sweet to you of late or you just want to be kind to her, these treats are fun and easy to make. Combine 1/2 pound of beef, 1 egg, and 1 tablespoon of catnip, spread evenly on a baking tray, and bake for about 10 minutes. Drain off the fat and store in the fridge. Add the crumbles to your cat’s food whenever you feel like it!

Pumpkin Carrot Bites

If you're in the process of training your dog, these bites won't break the bank. Plus, they smell good to both you and your dog. Just combine 3/4 cup of canned pumpkin, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of shredded carrots, and 1 cup of wheat flour. Bake the dough for half an hour and then cut the treats up into bite-sized snacks. They'll make those training sessions more enjoyable for both of you!

The apartments in Orlando are better when you have someone you love to share them with. If you're looking for a new space that will welcome you and your furry friend, give NorthBridge at Millenia Lake a call to schedule a tour today.
