3 TERRIFIC COCONUT DRINK RECIPES

  |     |   Apartment Living

Coconuts are versatile and delicious. These are some terrific coconut drink recipes we hope community members of NorthBridge at Millenia Lake in Orlando, Florida, will enjoy.

ESSENTIAL PIÑA COLADA

Like the chicken and the egg riddle, it’s hard to know whether the piña colada made the coconut famous or the coconut made the piña colada famous. Either way, the coconut life would not be the same without this essential beverage.

Gather These Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ ounces of white rum
  • 3 ounces of coconut cream mix
  • 6 ounces of pineapple juice
  • ½ cup of crushed ice
  • Pineapple wedge for garnish

How to Make:

Simply pour all of the ingredients—minus the garnish—into a blender and mix until smooth. Pour into a glass, garnish, top with an umbrella and sip through a straw.

COLD COQUITO NUTMEG

In Spanish, “coquito” loosely translates to “little coconut.” This tropical coconut eggnog drink may help you get a little loose.

Gather These Ingredients:

24 ounces of evaporated milk
15 ounces of coconut milk
15 ounces of coconut cream
½ cup of sweetened condensed milk
½ cup of spiced rum
½ cup of dark rum
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of ground ginger
Ground cinnamon
Ground nutmeg
How to Make:

With the exception of the cinnamon and nutmeg, pour all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until fully combined. Pour the blended ingredients into a large pitcher and refrigerate. Once it is chilled, stir thoroughly before serving. Some ingredients may settle. Pour into glasses and sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top.

TASTY COCONUT KONOMI
In Japanese, “konomi” literally means “taste.” You’re likely to enjoy how this coconut-infused beverage tastes!

Gather These Ingredients:

2 ounces of coconut-flavored vodka
½ ounce of pineapple syrup
½ ounce of sesame-infused Cocchi Americano
Matcha powder
Pineapple wedge for garnish
How to Make:

Place ice into a drink shaker. Pour in all of the ingredients, except pineapple slice, and Matcha powder. Shake thoroughly. Strain over ice into a rocks glass. Dash matcha powder on top. Garnish with pineapple wedge.
